What’s All This: Fail Better

There’s that oft-quoted Samuel Beckett quote that appears on many wall hangings, tshirts and mugs.

Ever Tried. Ever Failed. No Matter. Try Again. Fail Again. Fail Better.

Here’s the problem: in our curated lives on social, it’s hard to talk about failure. But failure is so important. It’s how we learn, and how we grow.

And as much as I truly believe that, I don’t want to show my soft squishy underbelly and talk about failures where, like, my eighth grade friend and that acquaintance from my second year psych course can see them.

So here, in this quiet repository, let me catalogue my failures that I’m brave enough to share.

And maybe next time, I’ll fail better.

A shelf of board games, in the centre of the frame is Jumanji, on top of that is Uno
